Policies and Payment

Lessons are structured to provide the most efficient progression for the student. With many years of success it’s recommended to follow this structure for most students. For more advanced students or specific needs scheduling, longer lessons or specific times can be arranged.

Tuition

Tuition for music lessons is $200 a month for studio/online and $250 for in-home (local areas only). Each month’s tuition must be paid in full regardless of missed lessons, unless it is the instructor’s cancellation. This will ensure the student has a secured regular assigned time reserved on the schedule.

The tuition covers one half-hour private music lesson per week, for four lessons. On weeks where five lesson days a month occur, there will be no lesson on the fifth week. Each month’s lessons are to be paid in advance and are due on the first lesson of each month. New students can pay for just the first lesson independently and not obligated to continue or pay for the entire month’s tuition. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc.

Makeup Lessons and Procedure

It is recognized that occasional lessons will be missed. Although there are no payment refunds, provisions are made for students that qualify for a makeup lesson. In the event of a missed lesson, a makeup lesson may be scheduled if/when it can be fit in the schedule. Makeup lessons are a consideration not a guarantee. I request you make your best effort to regularly attend your lessons.

The following circumstances apply:

1) Twenty-four hour notice must be given prior to the missed lesson. A lesson missed due to illness is the only exception but in this case notice must be given no later than noon the day of the lesson.

2) Missed makeup lessons are not eligible for makeup.

3) The student is responsible to schedule the makeup lesson within 60 days of the missed lesson.

4) No more than two makeup lessons can be accrued at one time
